The CILECCTA project is a FP7 large-scale project with 17 partners from 7 European countries. The consortium combines top class academics and industrial researchers, associations and business to develop a suite of Life Cycle Cost Analysis software. The aim is to improve industrialization and use of resources in the construction sector by providing options based decision support.
The CILECCTA outcome shall be a user-friendly interface that easily enables users to analyse economic considerations and environmental impacts of a construction project throughout its life cycle.

Life Cycle Cost Analysis
The long-term sustainability of construction projects is improved when design decisions are based on a life-cycle view. This considers both the initial investment of resources in a project and the resource demand during the project's service life. The resource demand can be calculated in two ways: in terms of money, when the evaluation is called life-cycle costing (LCC), or in terms of SoftwareThe CILECCTA Project Aims to Develop test versions of user friendly software.
To help people understand Life Cycle Costing and Assessment and how to use the software, the CILLECTA project is developing e-learning modules. The intention is to make three modules; Basic concepts, Demo projects and CILLECTA software. More… Demonstration To be able to test the developed software, three demonstration projects are to be assessed. Hotel company TUI AG (Hotels and Resort) and the construction companies APIAXXI S.A. and ACCIONA Infraestructuras S.A. are participating firms displaying a case in CILECCTA. | |
